Wayne Rooney sues Daily Mirror over sex stories

Wayne Rooney is suing the Daily Mirror, over new stories on his extra-marital sex life, for invasion of privacy and breach of the data protection act.

Yet, he hasn’t taken legal action over the Sunday Mirror and News of the World’s allegations that he hired a prostitute.

It marks another high profile, sports-related privacy case after England footballer, Peter Crouch, attacked the Sun over the revelation of his girlfriend’s pregnancy and Rooney tackled the Sun over a suggestion that he had booked a holiday before the World Cup’s end.
