Teachers on Facebook trouble

Facebook is causing problems between the General Teaching Council for Wales and teachers’ union NASUWT.

The GTCW is being criticised for launching a new code that advises Welsh teaching staff on how to conduct themselves on websites such as Facebook.

NASUWT claims that teachers “don’t need the code” because they “know how to act”, and insists that the code’s publishing has shown contempt for the views of the profession.
