Star and Sun go to war

The Daily Star and the Sun will cut their respective cover prices in an effort to revive flagging sales.

The Star will ask for 30p instead of 50p and the Sun will knock 50 per cent off its 60p cover price. The cuts affect the Saturday editions of each paper in the Granada, Tyne Tees and Yorkshire regions.
