Sky News launching Arabic news channel

Sky News has teamed up with Manchester City football club owner Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed al-Nahyan to launch an Arabic-language news channel.

The 24-hour station will launch in 2012, broadcasting across the Middle East and North Africa, putting it in direct competition with the BBC’s World Service.
