Newsquest journalists on strike

Journalists at Newsquest have gone on strike to protest a company-wide pay-freeze that has lasted two years.

Southampton staff, who belong to the National Union of Journalists, decided to carry out two 48-hour strikes after chief executive Paul Davidson received a pay rise of 21.5 per cent.
