Lady owner attacks ‘sex mad’ editor

The co-owner of The Lady magazine has accused its editor Rachel Johnson of being obsessed with sex, calling her hiring a mistake.

“There are two Rachels. There’s the Rachel who is very intelligent,” Budworth said. “She means well. Then she goes over the top, regrets it and then it’s too late.

“All she thinks of is sex. You can’t get her away from a penis. I think it comes from growing up with all those boys. But we didn’t pick up on this.”

Johnson’s A Diary of The Lady, detailing her year in charge, is published this week.
