January reflects well on Mirror’s ABCe figures

Deadline day in the January football transfer window helped Mirror Group boost its online traffic and lift itself off the bottom of the ABCe table.

A record 20 per cent month-on-month increase in its average daily users over January meant it leapfrogged Independent.co.uk. It also sits ahead of Metro, which was added to the ABCes for the first time and recorded nearly six million users over the month.

Mail Online continues to stride away from the competition – with its userbase now up 56 million.
