Hearst secures publishing rights to Lagardère portfolio

US magazine publisher Hearst has signed a €651m (£574m) deal for the international publishing rights to Lagardère’s 102-strong portfolio.

The deal includes titles such as Elle (outside of France), Red and Psychologies – although it remains subject to approval in some countries.

The deal was struck after four months of negotiations, and means the Lagardère publications will be published alongside the likes of Cosmopolitan and Good Housekeeping.
