Facebook man jumps ship

Twitter is increasing its drive to make significant money by hiring two sales directors, including Dan Coughlin.

Why does Dan Coughlin get a notable mention? Because he used to be Facebook’s director of media sales, so if anyone knows about turning a social media venture into a cash cow, he does.

Twitter is pinning initial hopes on sales of ‘promoted tweets’, which has attracted the business of Coke and Disney, among others.
