Facebook accounts for more referrals than Twitter, according to a study by AT Internet Institute.
Over a week, 1.3 per cent of referrals to 12 leading French websites came from Facebook; only 0.1 per cent came from Twitter in the same time.
Although both figures seem miniscule compared to Google’s 40.6 per cent referral rating, Facebook had a higher percentage than Microsoft’s Bing – which managed just 0.8 per cent.
