C4 ends BBC streak

Channel 4 ended a three year BBC run as it was named terrestrial channel of the year at the Edinburgh International Television Festival.

E4 shows The Inbetweeners and Misfits scooped non-terrestrial programme and fastrack programme awards respectively.

BBC3 was named non-terrestrial channel of the year, and BBC1 sitcom Outnumbered won terrestrial programme of the year.
